The music genre Acid Jazz, combines elements of Jazz, Funk and Hip-Hop, and to a lesser extent shows influences of soul music, house and disco.
A main feature of the genre is the usage of looping (repeating a certain part of a song or a sound sample), as opposed to classical jazz where fifteen minute songs can contain several solo's without repeating much.
In Acid Jazz, the jazz sound combined with a beat and a warm jazzy bass works really well, granting Jazz access to a more electronic range of music.
Jazzhole is a band from New York regarded as one of the key members in the Acid Jazz movement.
