DDOSBS#88 - Indische Waterlelies

It's themepark season. We all dread the long lines, crappy food and crying babies, yet somehow many of us find ourselves paying the overpriced ticket to spend a day of good old quality time.

The Netherlands has a Disney World of its own called the Efteling, a cornerstone of Dutch culture (3 million visitors a year! on a population of 17 million). It has a slightly outdated fairy tale ride called Indische Waterlelies (a witch turns fairies into flowers because she is jealous of their beauty).

Hearing the song that goes with this particular ride will make the average dutchie wither away in nostalgia. Music lovers from anywhere in the world cannot deny that it has a pretty nice ring to it.
