DDOSBS#89 - La Roux

La Roux, sounds pretty French for a United Kingdom act.

The electropop synth duo band consists of Elly Jackson and Ben Langmaid. Because Langmaid likes to stay in the background and has a history in music mainly as a producer it sometimes seems like Jackson is a solo artist. They claim, however, that they have a 50-50 influence/part in the act.

Jackson came across the name La Roux while flipping through a book with baby names. In French La Roux loosely translates to 'the red' and she decided it would be a good name since she has red hair herself.

Their hot track right now:

La Roux - Bulletproof

Some other gems on the album are I'm Not Your Toy, Quicksand and Colourless Colour.

  1. I've been looking for this song for quite a while... Heard it for the first time in the car in Israel, quite retro
