DDOSBS#97 - Sublime

A sad fact about Sublime: they never got to enjoy their mainstream success.

Lead singer and guitarist Bradley Nowell died of a heroin overdose shortly before the release of their breakthrough album. The self-titled record is considered an absolute ska classic ("I don't practice Santeria!"), and even today their music continues to be loved by radio dj's, college kids, nostalgic twenty-somethings and the stereotypical stoner crowds.

5446 is from their debut record (a favorite among the die hard fans). Also be sure to check out Bad Fish, and the respectable cover by Jack Johnson.
